ensemble-MA & TaikoAlive launch performance!

This informal, hour-long performance will feature music influenced by Japanese and North American taiko flavored with an eclectic mix of Korean, Hawaiian, Jewish, Ainu and western accents. TaikoAlive! students from Episcopal Homes, Ebenezer Towers and Mu Performinng Arts will also take the stage for a couple of pieces.  Help us celebrate in the lobby afterwards with some home-baked cookies! The premiere of Horizons and this launch is made possible by a MacPhail Center for Music/Jerome Foundation Artist Grant.

• Take I-35W N toward Minneapolis.
• Merge onto MN-65 N via the exit on the left toward downtown exits.
• Take the 5th Ave. S. (MN-65) exit on the left.
• Stay straight to go onto S. 5th Ave.
• Continue to follow S. 5th Ave.
• Turn right onto S. 2nd St.

From the North (via I-35W South)
• Merge onto I-35W S.
• Take the S Washington Avenue exit.
• Turn right onto Washington Avenue S.
• Turn right onto Portland Avenue.
• Turn left onto S. 2nd St.

From the West (via I-394E)
• Merge onto I-394E.
• Take the 3rd Ave. N./Washington Ave. exit (exit 9C).
• Take the Washington Ave. ramp.
• Turn slight right onto N. Washington Ave. (CR-152 S.)
• Turn left onto S. 5th Ave.
• Turn right onto S. 2nd St.

From the East (via I-94W)
• Merge onto I-94W.
• Take the 5th St. exit (exit 234B).
• Stay straight to go onto S. 5th St.
• Turn slight right onto S. 11th Ave.
• Turn left onto S. 2nd St.

PARKING: There are several parking ramps and a surface parking lot nearby which range in price from $4 on weekdays to $3 on weekends, as well as metered street parking which costs $1 an hour. There are four handicapped parking stalls available and ramps at curbs by all entrances and exits. There is also a drop off and pick up site on the east side of the building.
